Analyst – Commercial Property Group – Rialto Capital Management, LLC


The Commercial Property Group (CPG) is responsible for sourcing and the direct acquisitions of properties, including equity joint ventures and equity recapitalizations, across all property types, at Rialto. This position will be part of CPG-East, which is generally focused on investments on the Eastern half of the United States, including Texas. The Analyst will be responsible for evaluating new opportunities, underwriting and modeling and creating presentations for review by senior members of Rialto and outside partners/investors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Underwrite potential new investment opportunities in property acquisitions, equity recapitalizations, joint-venture equity investments
  • Build financial, valuation and sensitivity models for potential acquisitions of real estate assets and/or debt
  • Model property and loan cash flows utilizing Excel and Argus to determine NPV and IRR values
  • Evaluate and abstract third-party reports, loan documents, service contracts and leasing / listing agreements
  • Perform research on various markets throughout the U.S. and communicate with brokers in these markets
  • Conduct property / site inspections as needed
  • Draft and prepare presentations to senior management and Investment Committee

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or other related field preferred
  • 2 years’ relevant work experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Visual Basic a plus
  • Advanced analytical and organizational skills are required, with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
