CMBS REO Reporting Analyst

Summary

The Analyst supports the Vice President with overall reporting requirements from Property and Hotel Managers to ensure compliance with Regulation AB and property management agreements. The Analyst also works closely with the other REO Reporting Analyst and backs up the position during vacation and absences.  The candidate works with various commercial real estate asset classes and must have solid written and communications skills, be able to work independently, is detailed-oriented and highly motivated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review financials and communicate with Asset Managers, other Analysts, and internal Accountants as well as communicate missing items or exceptions with Property Managers and follow up to close out open items
  • Review bank reconciliations to ensure compliance with Regulation AB
  • Facilitate Property Management audits between Rialto accounting department and external property managers to ensure all requested documents and supporting documentation is provided.
  • Review Monthly Upload files against Monthly Financial Packages to ensure cash is reconciled
  • Prepare Occupancy Upload files utilizing financials from property managers
  • Assist with tracking of Comfort Letters with Master Servicers
  • Perform other duties as assigned and provide support with special projects

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance and/or related fields
  • 0-3 years of accounting, finance or related business area
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between financial statements

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
