Fundraising Analyst

Summary

The Analyst of Fundraising/Investor Relations will contribute to the ongoing development of capital formation and investor relationships. The analyst will work closely with the senior management team to provide support to fundraising efforts for both new investors and prospective investors, as well as be a main point of contact for day-to-day communications with existing investors. A successful candidate should be willing and able to execute in a fast-paced environment of a growing organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a key member of fundraising and investor relations team by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential investors
  • Serve as a point of contact for existing investors – responds to questions regarding statements, due diligence items, performance, ad hoc client requests, etc.;
  • Maintain Backstop CRM system, data rooms, and investor portal
  • Act as liaison internally with various Rialto teams regarding fundraising status
  • Assist in the creation and preparation of marketing materials, coordinating materials for investor meetings, etc.;
  • Develop and continually improve fund raising plan, strategies, communication, tactics, and timelines
  • Assist in pitching new fundraising mandates, including fund, co-investment, joint venture, and platform opportunities
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of market trends and each existing funds’ capital position, investments, and projections to communicate effectively with investors
  • Track and summarize market intelligence and competitive information
  • Provide feedback and review of all outgoing material, including fund presentations, reports, and press releases
  • Collaborate with General Counsel, CFO, Compliance, and other internal teams to provide input marketing and diligence material
  • Lead in the strategy, planning and management for all investor relations events including investor conferences and presentations.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of investor relations, fundraising, or finance experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to convey company strategy and messaging
  • Existing relationships with domestic and foreign institutional investors, consultants, advisors, and family offices
  • Solid understanding of real estate with strong analytical skills
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated track record of success
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and work proactively with other functions to understand the company’s story and vision
  • Ability to travel to domestic and foreign locations for conferences and meetings
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent judgment and ability to motivate and lead a highly functioning team
  • Must be extremely well organized and able to handle changing priority
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the current regulatory environment
  • Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
